Production Process / HACCP System


In compliance with EU Regulations 1069/2011 and 142/2011, our production processes follow the principles of a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system:

Processing time is a critical variable that must be minimized or kept under strict control. Extended processing times increase protein denaturation and endotoxin formation, which significantly reduce the serum’s ability to promote cell growth.

Our goal is to produce sterile, pre-filtered Fetal Bovine Serum within eight hours from the moment blood is collected at the slaughterhouse until it is processed in our laboratories. This process is illustrated as follows:
